In Preparation for San Diego...
- Weather in September:
- Daily high temperature: 77 degrees
- Daily low temperature: 65 degrees
- Humidity: 72%
- Chance of Precipitation: .2%
- September is the one of the sunniest months so wear a hat and sun screen especially if you're on the beach or water.
- The legal drinking age in CA is 21.
- CA law requires all passengers (and the driver) in a car to wear seat belts.
- CA law prohibits talking on cell phones while driving.
- Smoking is forbidden inside any public enclosed area, including restaurants and bars. The City of San Diego has also banned smoking on the beach, boardwalks, seawalls, and piers.
- Dress is casual for most every activity. Flip-flops, while not mandatory, are accepted almost everywhere. Only a few upscale restaurants in the Gaslamp Quarter will not admit patrons who wear jeans.
- Evenings can get cool, so layering clothing is the best strategy if you plan to be at the beach or on the water. Sweaters or light jackets are usually sufficient to remain comfortable when the sun goes down.
