What Does the Coming Tsunami in Higher Education Mean for University Testing Services?

What will college and university testing services look like ten, twenty years from now? While many of the changes coming to higher education pertain to technology, pedagogy, purpose and outcomes, the role of testing services is not exempt from the oncoming tides of transformation. Programs that predict and prepare for change will thrive, while others could be vulnerable to reductions or elimination. Through collaborations, partnerships, and entrepreneurialism, testing services can advance and enrich the evolving missions of our universities.

Creating, Enhancing, and Moving Forward with State and Regional Organizations

Come join members of the State and Regional Organizations Committee as they present an update of the plan under development for advancing the growth of state and regional organizations for college testing professionals. Strategies for expanding the impact of existing state testing organizations will be discussed. Approaches to starting a state or regional testing organization will be shared. This presentation will highlight the efforts of the committee, which include selection criteria for being an NCTA State and Regional Organizations (SRO) representative, the procedure for SRO's to use a dedicated "GoToMeeting" feature to support their organization's outreach and communications, the development of an NCTA SRO Affiliation Program, and an SRO website portal via the NCTA home page.
