What Does the Coming Tsunami in Higher Education Mean for University Testing Services?
Friday, August 2, at 9:45 am
"What I told my colleagues is there's a tsunami coming. I can't tell you exactly how it's going to break, but my goal is to try to surf it, not to just stand there." (Stanford University President John Hennessy).
What will college and university testing services look like ten, twenty years from now? While many of the changes coming to higher education pertain to technology, pedagogy, purpose and outcomes, the role of testing services is not exempt from the oncoming tides of transformation. Programs that predict and prepare for change will thrive, while others could be vulnerable to reductions or elimination. Through collaborations, partnerships, and entrepreneurialism, testing services can advance and enrich the evolving missions of our universities.
